East Kentucky Racing Report
August 24 and 25, 2001

Friday August 24:
The feature races at EKRP in Willard, Ky were called off due to foggy condidtions.

At the Mountain Motor Speedway near Isom,  #77 Jackie Fields came away with limited late
model feature, Tim Mason in #45 took the bomber feature and #18k DI Henson took the 4 cylinder win.

Thunder Mountain Speedway in Olive Hill didn't have any races this weekend.

Saturday August 25:
At 201 Speedway David Powers in the #97 Fannins Sawmill Stinger/Cropper Grand Prix
took his second late model feature of the season, he was followed by Randy Boggs in the #111
Barker Motorsports Swartz Monte Carlo.

At Half Mountain Speedway in Royalton, Eddie Carrier Jr again displayed that he is the best
in Eastern Kentucky by taking another late model feature at Half Mountain Speedway, #28
Chucky May was second. No. 7J Jerry Rutherford took the modified feature and Jamie Slone
was first in the super bombers. In the bomber division it was no. 17 Buck Lemaster taking the
win, the #R7 of Ryan Risner was second. Ryan Allen #R7 was the winner of the road hog feature,
and the X-Rated car of John Allen won the 4 cylinder feature.

At Perry Co. Speedway near Hazard, #L13 Arvil Campbell won the street stock trophy dash and
feature. In the bomber division, #0 Jimmy Collins won the trophy dash, and #27 Kip Combs
won the feature. In the road hogs #3 Bruce Hurt won the feature, and in the 4 cylinder division #31E Shane
Ellis took the victory.
